About This Access Site
Stokes-Thomas Park offers a convenient boat launch facility on Lake Kampeska's northeast shore, located off Highway 20 at 90 South Lake Dr near Watertown. This city-owned park provides full amenities including modern comfort stations, a designated swimming beach, and a supervised boat launch suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The park features approximately 70 campsites with water and electrical hookups, making it ideal for overnight trips.

Lake Kampeska is a substantial 5,250-acre lake that provides excellent paddling and boating opportunities across its expansive surface. As one of six public boat ramps around the lake, Stokes-Thomas serves paddlers launching from the north shore with access to the entire lake's routes and coves. The park also includes recreational amenities such as picnic areas, playgrounds, a bike/jogging trail, and a non-supervised beach area, making it a well-developed facility for day trips or extended stays.
