Stone Mountain Lake

The Stone Mountain Lake boat ramp provides easy access to this 323-acre reservoir located within Stone Mountain Park. The ramp is situated on the southern end of the lake, near the dam and Evergreen Hotel. This makes it a convenient launch point for paddlers and small boaters.

Stone Mountain Lake is fed by Stone Mountain Creek and offers a relatively calm, protected water body for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Only small boats with motors 10 horsepower or less are permitted on the lake, creating a peaceful, low-wake environment. From your vessel, you can take in views of the iconic granite dome that gives the park its name.

The boat ramp area offers paved parking, restrooms, and nearby picnic facilities. Paddlers and boaters should be aware that a park entrance fee may be required to access this site.
