Sunlake Marina on North Tenmile Lake provides a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters in Lakeside, Coos County. The facility features a handicap-accessible kayak launch, making it suitable for paddlers of various abilities. The lake itself is well-suited for recreational paddling, water sports, and fishing, with generally calm conditions during summer months.

The marina area includes multiple amenities for day-use visitors, including parking, picnic facilities, and restroom facilities. The Tenmile Lakes system offers excellent paddling opportunities and is popular for various water activities. Several campgrounds are located within 10 miles of the access point—SPINREEL SAND CAMPING, UMPQUA SAND CAMPING, and HAUSER SAND CAMPING—all offering reservable sites for those planning overnight trips in the area.

Note that sand roads on the nearby North Spit are currently closed through December 2025 for public safety during Army Corps of Engineers work. Check local conditions before your visit and be aware of any seasonal considerations when planning your paddling trip.
