Sunset Point

Sunset Point offers boat ramp access to Lake Texoma in Grayson County, near the Red River. This is an ideal launch point for exploring one of the largest reservoirs in the region. The ramp accommodates boats up to 20 feet and includes a boarding pier for easier loading and unloading. Nearby Bridgeview Camp Marina and Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge provide additional recreation opportunities in the area.

The Red River system is a major waterway with significant flow (averaging over 68,000 cubic feet per second) and substantial current at an average velocity of nearly 6 feet per second. Paddlers should be prepared for these conditions and understand that this is a substantial river system rather than a calm lake environment.
