This ramp provides paddlers and boaters with convenient access to the shallow, protected waters of Florida Bay as well as the Atlantic Ocean. The facility includes a dedicated boat ramp and parking area. Daily parking fees are available at an on-site pay station, or you can purchase a permit for extended use.
This location is ideal for kayakers and canoeists exploring the unique shallow-water ecosystem of Florida Bay, known for its mangrove shorelines, seagrass beds, and abundant marine life. The proximity to Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge makes this a good jumping-off point for wildlife viewing and exploration of protected habitats in the area. Paddlers should be prepared for tidal conditions and shallow waters typical of Florida Bay, and should check weather conditions before launching, as bay waters can be exposed to Atlantic swells and wind.
