Located on Toledo Bend Reservoir near Joaquin, Swede Johnson Recreation Area offers a free, year-round boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and all boat types. The facility features a single-lane ramp along with picnic tables, restrooms, and playground equipment. The reservoir setting provides generally calm conditions compared to the river's natural state.
