About This Access Site
Swift Forest Camp, located on the south side of Forest Road 90 about 28 miles northeast of Woodland, offers a public boat launch managed by PacifiCorp with two concrete ramps. This is a well-developed access point suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to access Swift Reservoir. A day-use fee applies on weekends. The nearby Paradise Creek Campground (reservable) provides overnight accommodation options for those planning extended trips in the area.

**Important Note:** Access to Swift Dam is currently closed to the public due to ongoing construction activities. Additionally, anyone making new reservations at Swift Forest Camp after September 2, 2024, will be notified of boat ramp closure restrictions. Before planning your trip, check current conditions with PacifiCorp or the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, as closures and access limitations may affect your ability to launch.

The site provides convenient access to Swift Reservoir's open waters and is positioned near other notable Forest Service recreation sites along Forest Road 90, including Twin Falls Campground and access to the Mt. Adams Wilderness Area. The location makes it a good base for exploring the central Gifford Pinchot National Forest region.
