Swoyers Campground provides convenient boat ramp and dock access to Lake Henry near Lake Ariel in Wayne County. To reach the water, drive through the campground to find both a boat ramp and launching dock by the lakeside, with dedicated boat parking located a few hundred feet away. This is a good option for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to access the lake.
**Navigation and Conditions:** Lake Henry has some navigational challenges—watch for floating islands and stumps, especially when the water is choppy, which occurs frequently due to unpredictable weather. Most boaters follow a standard route heading straight out of the channel between two islands, then making a right behind the second island to reach the main lake. A slow-no-wake advisory is in effect in the north end. Note that the area upstream of a nearby bridge prohibits motors; however, paddlers can row up the estuary and take out at the same access point.
**Nearby Recreation:** The access site is well-positioned for exploring the region. Steamtown National Historic Site and Aylesworth Creek Lake (featuring a beach, picnic area, and hiking trails) are nearby, offering additional outdoor recreation opportunities in the area.
