This take-out site on Aniakchak provides access to one of Alaska's most remote and pristine whitewater rivers. The Aniakchak River is known for its challenging whitewater conditions and stunning volcanic landscape within Aniakchak National Monument. This is the downstream exit point for river runners completing the Aniakchak River trip, which typically involves paddling through a caldera and navigating significant whitewater sections. Access to this site is extremely limited and typically requires air charter or boat transportation due to the remote location in Lake and Peninsula Borough.
