This is a whitewater take-out access point on Rock Creek, a tributary of the Potomac River in the Washington, D.C. area. Rock Creek offers whitewater paddling opportunities for intermediate to advanced paddlers, particularly during higher water conditions. The take-out location provides access for kayakers and canoeists finishing their run on this popular urban whitewater section. Being a take-out rather than a launch point, this site is primarily used to exit the water after paddling upstream sections of Rock Creek.
