The Wrightsville take-out on the Susquehanna River in York County provides access to one of the largest rivers on the East Coast. The Susquehanna is a major river system spanning 585 miles with significant flow averaging over 82,000 cubic feet per second, making it a substantial waterway suitable for experienced paddlers. The take-out location at Wrightsville serves as an exit point for whitewater paddlers completing sections of the river, with the site positioned along the lower portions of this major drainage system that encompasses over 33,000 square miles of watershed area.
