About This Access Site
Tamarack Lake is a 310-330 acre all-sports lake located in Lakeview, Montcalm County, in Michigan's west-central region. The public boat launch on the northeast side of the lake is owned and maintained by the Michigan DNR and can accommodate small to medium-sized watercraft. With a maximum depth of 17 feet, the lake provides adequate water for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational boating throughout the year.

This access point is popular with anglers targeting walleye and offers a good option for paddlers seeking a moderate-sized inland lake. The launch is situated within or near the Village of Lakeview, making it conveniently accessible. Paddlers should note that the lake supports all-sports recreation, so expect to share the water with motorized boats, particularly during peak summer fishing season.
