About This Access Site
The Cash Creek access point in Tate's Hell State Forest offers a concrete boat ramp and dock for paddlers and boaters entering the forest's 35 miles of navigable creeks, rivers, and streams. Located near Eastpoint in Franklin County, this is the primary launch site for exploring the expansive waterway system. The site features vault toilets, a picnic pavilion with grills, and nearby hiking trails. Cash Creek itself is a large, scenic waterway popular for fishing and recreational boating.

To reach the ramp from Carrabelle, travel west on US 98 for about 12 miles, then north on SR 65 for approximately 4 miles. The access area is fairly level and easy to use, with good amenities for day trips or as a base for exploring deeper into the forest. A valid Florida fishing license is required for anglers. The surrounding Tate's Hell State Forest provides excellent paddling opportunities through pristine coastal habitats, and nearby attractions include St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge and the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve—one of the most productive estuarine systems in the Northern Hemisphere.
