About This Access Site
Taylor Park offers convenient lake access on Granger Lake via two concrete boat ramps (one six-lane, one two-lane), making it a solid choice for kayakers, canoeists, and larger recreational boats. The facility is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park located on the San Gabriel River reservoir, approximately 5 miles east of FM 1331 off Highway 95 north of Granger. An entrance and boat ramp fee is charged. The park includes day-use picnic areas, RV camping with amenities, and a hiking trail along the shoreline.

Granger Lake is renowned as one of the top five crappie and white bass fishing destinations in Central Texas, making it popular with anglers year-round. The lake is well-maintained and offers ample facilities for a full day of paddling, fishing, or boating. If you prefer a primitive, free alternative, the San Gabriel Wildlife Management Area offers a one-lane launch suitable for canoes and jon boats only, with free parking available.
