The Terry boat ramp provides public access to Dewey Lake and Johns Creek in the Cumberland Plateau region near Prestonsburg, Floyd County. Located on the west shore via KY 302, this is one of four launching ramps on that side of the lake. The ramp serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the scenic lake surrounded by wooded hills rising approximately 700 feet above the water.
Dewey Lake offers a full range of facilities through nearby Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, making it a well-developed recreation destination. Paddlers should note that the lake may experience periodic drawdowns for maintenance—check current conditions before your trip, as the Terry ramp has been temporarily closed during these events.
