Titus County Park offers boat access to Lake Monticello via a concrete boat ramp with paved turnaround on the lake's southwest shoreline. The facility includes a large parking area and two floating docks, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger boats. Located approximately 2 miles southwest of the FM 127 turnoff from Mt. Pleasant, this is the primary public access point to the lake.
Lake Monticello is a scenic impoundment fed by Blundell Creek with depths reaching 38-40 feet, providing good conditions for kayaking, canoeing, and other water sports. An access fee is required, and the site operates year-round. For current information on hours, fees, and conditions, contact Titus County Parks at (903) 572-2398. Note that public access status has changed in the past, so it's recommended to confirm availability before your visit.
