About This Access Site
Located at Canada Creek Ranch in Presque Isle County, Michigan (approximately 12.5 miles southeast of Onaway), this access site offers two launch options to suit different watercraft. The west unit features a developed motorized boat launch with concrete ramps capable of handling most single-axle trailers, while the east unit provides an undeveloped carry-in launch better suited for canoes and kayaks. The site sits on Tomahawk Creek Flooding, known for its distinctive flooded timber area at the south end—a scenic feature that also attracts wildlife like eagles and osprey.

Amenities at the site include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. Anglers and paddlers will find the flooded timber area particularly interesting for exploring by boat or canoe, and the site provides convenient access to both Tomahawk Lake for fishing and the nearby two-mile Sinkholes Pathway for hiking. ORV access is available for exploring state forest roads. This is a good option for both developed boat camping and paddle-in exploration of the flooded creek system.
