About This Access Site
Located at 5 Otis Street (Route 3A) in Hingham, this recently updated access point provides excellent entry to Hingham Harbor, the Weir River, World's End, and the islands of Hingham Bay. The facility features a newly renovated (2023) boat ramp, a dredged mooring basin, and ample parking near the launch area. A 0.1-mile shoreside walkway offers scenic views of the harbor.

The site is conveniently situated in walking distance of downtown Hingham and offers full amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and benches. A lifeguard is on duty during the summer beach season, and a designated swimming area is marked at the sandy tidal beach. This is an ideal launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring Hingham Bay's calm waters and nearby islands, as well as for recreational boaters accessing the wider harbor system.

To reach the ramp, take Route 228 to Route 3A and turn left, following signs to the Hingham Harbor Beach/Park area. The first parking area on your right leads directly to the boat ramp.
