Traders Hill Boat Ramp provides access to the scenic St. Marys River in southeast Georgia. The ramp is located on the southwestern side of the bridge, making it convenient for paddlers and boaters.
The St. Marys River is a tidal blackwater river that flows for over 130 miles along the Georgia-Florida border. At the Traders Hill site, the river is relatively wide and slow-moving, making it well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. Paddlers can explore the surrounding wetlands and marshes, keeping an eye out for the diverse wildlife that inhabits the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge nearby.
The boat ramp features a wide, sandy launch area as well as a concrete ramp with a small dock. There is ample free parking available. Restroom facilities are located at the campground up the hill from the launch site. Whether you're looking to spend a peaceful day on the water or access the wider river system, Traders Hill Boat Ramp offers a convenient and scenic launch point.
