About This Access Site
Located in Syracuse, Kosciusko County, this public access point provides boat launch facilities on Allen Lake, one of nine lakes within the expansive Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area. The 3,546-acre property encompasses 650 acres of lakes and impoundments, offering paddlers and boaters access to multiple water bodies including Shock, Spear, Hammond, Barrel, Price, Wyland, Bass, and Goldeneye lakes. The terrain ranges from flat upland fields to rolling oak-hickory woodlands, creating a scenic backdrop for paddling and recreation.

Allen Lake features a primarily muck bottom and is actively managed with a focus on largemouth bass fishery. The lake is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating.
