Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area

Carr Lake is located within the Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area near Claypool in Kosciusko County, offering paddlers and anglers access to one of the area's recreational lakes. The 3,546-acre Fish & Wildlife Area features 650 acres of lakes and impoundments across flat to rolling upland terrain with oak-hickory woodlands. This is a good option for kayakers and canoeists seeking a more natural setting away from developed areas.

**Important note:** While the Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area maintains boat ramps on several lakes (including Shock, Spear, Hammond, Allen, Barrel, Price, Wyland, Bass, and Goldeneye), **Carr Lake does not appear to have a designated boat ramp**. Contact the Indiana Department of Fisheries and Wildlife directly to confirm current access conditions and discuss alternative launch points nearby. All motors on area lakes are restricted to electric only, making these waters ideal for quiet paddling.
