Located in Brookeville near the Route 95/Route 32 interchange, Tridelphia Lake Recreation Area provides public access to the 794-acre Tridelphia Reservoir on the Patuxent River. The site features a boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized vessels. To reach the ramp from Route 95, take Exit 38, follow Route 32 west to Route 108 (Clarksville Pike), turn left, then bear right onto Brighton Dam Road.
**Important restrictions:** All boating requires a permit from WSSC (Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission), and only self-powered or battery-powered vessels are permitted—gas-powered motorboats are not allowed. Note that boat ramp access is subject to water level conditions and may be periodically closed. The reservoir also serves as a popular fishing destination and recreation area, with additional amenities including hiking, picnicking, and horseback riding. Check current conditions before visiting, as the facility occasionally closes for managed wildlife activities.
