Tugalo State Park offers excellent access to Lake Hartwell, a popular reservoir on the Savannah River. The park features a six-lane boat ramp, making it a convenient launch site for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats of all sizes. Lake Hartwell is a expansive 56,000-acre lake with over 900 miles of shoreline, offering ample opportunities for recreational boating, fishing, and water sports.
For paddlers, the Savannah River provides a scenic and tranquil waterway to explore. The river is generally wide and slow-moving, making it well-suited for both kayaking and canoeing. Anglers will find excellent fishing for largemouth bass and other popular gamefish throughout the lake. All vehicles must display a daily or annual ParkPass to utilize the boat ramp and other park facilities.
