About This Access Site
The Tullahasse Loop boat ramp provides access to the Verdigris River, a major river system in Oklahoma. The Verdigris River is a large, navigable waterway spanning over 311 miles with an average flow rate of 6,586 cubic feet per second. The river's gradient averages 1.9 feet per mile, creating generally calm waters suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating.

The Tullahasse Loop access site is located approximately 9 miles southwest of Wagoner, Oklahoma, situated along an oxbow off the main river channel. This location offers excellent access to the Verdigris River's backwaters and surrounding forested areas, making it a popular spot for fishing, paddling, and other recreation. The site features a boat ramp as well as a campground with tent and RV sites, though no utility hookups are available. Visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of the region and access the nearby Arkansas River and Fort Gibson Lake for additional boating and water sports opportunities.

Recreation
The Chouteau Lock and Dam 17 project was primarily constructed for the improvement of the Arkansas River and its tributaries for commercial barge traffic; however, it also offers recreation and resource opportunities.    
Facilities
This year-around campground offers 15 primitive campsites, perfect for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Amenities are available thorughout the year and include a vault toilet, access to potable water, playground, boat ramp and courtesy dock. 
Natural Features
Tullahasse Loop is located off the main river channel on an oxbow and provides excellent access to the backwaters for fishermen, boaters, and kayaks. The campground is surrounded by mixed hardwood forest and the majority of the campsites are shaded.  

Nearby Attractions
Located just south of the city of Wagoner and North of the city of Muskogee, Afton Landing is within driving distance to several local dining and shopping facilities. It is also within a 10-minute drive to Fort Gibson Lake and several other campgrounds and state parks.
