Turtle Lake

**Location & Facilities**
The Turtle Lake boat ramp is located in Turtle Lake County Park at the southeast corner of the lake in Shoreview, Ramsey County. This county-owned facility offers a boat launch, picnic area, and swimming beach. The park is operated by Ramsey County Parks & Recreation and includes an ADA-compliant access ramp on the service dock.

**Lake Overview**
Turtle Lake is a 409-acre lake (Class 24) with a maximum depth of 28 feet. The lake has good recreational water acreage, with 245 acres being suitable for paddling. Most of the shoreline is developed with single-family homes, making it a popular destination for residents and visitors.

**Planning Your Visit**
Be prepared for crowds on weekends—this is a very popular lake and the access area frequently reaches capacity. Shore anglers fish in the area between the beach and boat ramp. The accessible location and full amenities make this a convenient launch point for kayaking and canoeing on Turtle Lake.
