Located in Union on the east leg of Hood Canal, Twanoh State Park offers a double launching ramp ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats accessing saltwater paddling. This 188-acre marine park features a dedicated parking area, moorages, and full facilities including restrooms, showers, and picnic areas. The shallow, protected shoreline and scenic views of Hood Canal make it a popular starting point for paddlers exploring this saltwater environment.
The park provides easy water access in a scenic setting with warm saltwater conditions suitable for recreational paddling and boating. In addition to the boat launch, the park offers a swimming beach, rocky areas for shellfish gathering, and 2.5 miles of hiking trails. The historic park was built in the classic Civilian Conservation Corps style and remains a well-developed facility for both water and land-based recreation along Hood Canal.
