Twin Lakes State Park offers a public boat launch providing access to Lake Roland's Lower Twin Lake and, via a channel beneath Highway 100, to Middle Twin Lake. The launch accommodates nine vehicles with boat trailers and is located within the 175-acre state park campground on the southwest shore. This is an accessible facility, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters of varying abilities.
The lake supports a healthy fishery with rainbow trout, walleye, perch, and bass, and is popular for boating, fishing, and swimming. The park serves as an excellent base for exploring Michigan's Copper Country, with proximity to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and area trails. Amenities nearby include gas, groceries, and lodging in the Toivola area. Note that a parking pass may be required for boat trailer parking during peak season (April–November).
