Tyler Cove is located on Fishing Creek in Church Creek, Dorchester County, Maryland, near the intersection of Hoopers Island Road and Applegarth Road. The ramp is situated just north of this intersection on the left side of Hoopers Island Road, immediately after crossing the bridge. The facility offers convenient parking and is open 24 hours.

Fishing Creek is a large river (Stream Order 6) with a drainage area of 890 square miles and an average flow of 936 cubic feet per second. Paddlers should be prepared for moderate current with an average velocity of 2.87 feet/second. This is a headwater stream with a steeper gradient (4.1 ft/mile average), so water conditions can vary seasonally. Tyler Cove provides excellent access for kayaking, canoeing, and trailered boat launches, with connections to the Honga River and Chesapeake Bay nearby. The area offers good fishing and crabbing opportunities.
