About This Access Site
Upper Gresham Lake is a 362-acre lake in Vilas County near Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, offering a public boat landing with good facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The access point includes a paved ramp, launch pier, turnaround area, and trailer parking, making it suitable for various watercraft. An ADA-accessible fishing pier is also available adjacent to the boat launch.
The lake has a maximum depth of 32 feet and is known primarily for fishing and boating rather than swimming. The water supports a healthy population of Musky, Northern Pike, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, and Panfish. Note that Upper Gresham Lake is an active Loon nesting site, so paddlers should be mindful of wildlife protection guidelines during breeding season. Drinking water is available at the access area via a hand pump.
