**Location & Facilities:** Upper Lelands Pond is located on Route 26, approximately one mile southwest of Bouckville in Madison County, NY. The access site features a concrete launch ramp with parking for 10 vehicles and trailers, making it suitable for both motorboats and paddle craft. A universally accessible fishing pier is also available at the site.
**Paddling Conditions:** Upper Lelands Pond is a large pond well-suited for canoes, kayaks, and small boats. The water ranges from shallow areas to approximately 15 feet deep. Note that Upper and Lower Lelands Ponds are connected by a culvert under the highway, but this passage is too small for boat traffic. If you're interested in exploring both ponds, Lower Lelands Pond offers an undeveloped hand launch directly across from the Upper Lelands parking area, providing an alternative access point for canoes and kayaks.
