About This Access Site
Upper Range Pond is a 357-391 acre recreational lake located in Poland, Androscoggin County, Maine. The public boat ramp provides access at the northern tip of the pond near the causeway bridge, just off Range Hill Road. This is a straightforward launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to explore the pond and its connected waterways, including Middle Range Pond, Waterhouse Brook, and May Brook.

The ramp is relatively modest in size, and parking is limited to street parking in the area. While the town has discussed expanding the facility, improvements have been limited due to shoreland protection codes and neighboring property constraints. Despite these limitations, this remains the primary public access point for Upper Range Pond and is popular with both anglers and recreational paddlers. Plan accordingly for parking, especially during peak season.
