Vastwood Park

Vastwood Park Lake offers a public boat ramp located 3 miles east of Hawesville on US 60 E. This 21.2-acre lake provides a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. The facility features a boat dock that is limited to non-motorized watercraft, making it ideal for paddlers. Additional amenities include paved biking and walking trails, a swimming area, playground, and disc golf course. Note that the access road includes dirt sections, so it's recommended to scout conditions ahead of time, especially after heavy rain.

The park operates as a full-service facility with camping available April 1 through October 31, including water and electric hookups, RV dump station, and a bath house. Handicap-accessible restrooms are available weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For additional boating options in the area, the nearby Ohio River's Cannelton Pool provides a larger waterway popular with recreational boaters and offers access points in Lewisport and Hawesville.
