Veterans Campground

Veterans Campground offers a well-maintained boat ramp and full facility access on Big Marine Lake in Scandia, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. The facility features a dedicated boat launch, fishing dock, and boat dock, along with handicap-accessible amenities. Whether you're launching your own vessel or renting equipment, the campground provides kayaks, canoes, and pontoons available for rent on a daily or longer-term basis.

The 69-acre facility caters to recreational paddlers and boaters with additional amenities including a swimming beach, small trail system, and full campground services (showers, restrooms, dump station). Big Marine Lake offers a quieter paddling experience, particularly on weekdays. Note that lake-wide swimming closures occasionally occur due to swimmers itch, so check current conditions before your visit. The campground is open seasonally (April–October) and welcomes day-use visitors as well as overnight guests.
