The Vilano Public Boat Ramp is a well-equipped access point located just west of the Vilano Bridge on A1A in St. Augustine, offering convenient entry to the Tolomato River system. The facility features three boat ramps and two floating docks, making it suitable for powerboats, fishing vessels, and hand-launched kayaks and canoes. A picnic pavilion, restroom building, and on-site concessions are available, along with a small fishing pier.
Positioned at the confluence of the Tolomato and Matanzas Rivers, Vilano is the closest public ramp to St. Augustine Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean—approximately 3/4 mile away. This location provides excellent access to the Intracoastal Waterway and nearshore waters, making it ideal for inshore and offshore fishing trips. Paddlers will find this a good launching point for exploring the river's marshy areas and coastal routes, with the 206 bridge area offering accessible paddling destinations nearby.
