About This Access Site
Located on the east side of Volney Lake Park in Le Center, this DNR public access site offers a concrete boat ramp with a dock and large parking lot, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp is well-suited for launching boats up to 12-18 feet, and there are no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required for park entry.

Volney Lake is a 269-acre lake with a maximum depth of 67 feet and average water clarity of about 10.8 feet. The lake provides good conditions for paddling and boating, with adequate depth for most watercraft. This is a scenic Le Sueur County location that offers a straightforward access point for a day on the water, whether you're interested in paddling, fishing, or recreational boating.
