About This Access Site
The Wallace Lake Road access site provides a convenient launching point for paddlers and boaters at Wallace Lake in Shreveport. Located at Milton James "Hookie" Cameron Memorial Park, this one-acre facility offers a boat ramp, parking area, and picnic amenities. The ramp accommodates kayaks, canoes, and other small watercraft looking to explore this Corps of Engineers-managed lake.

Wallace Lake is a popular destination for paddling and fishing, with relatively calm water conditions suitable for recreational boating. The lake also provides access to nearby natural areas, including the Red River National Wildlife Refuge. Note that electric motors only are permitted on the lake, making it ideal for paddlers seeking a quieter, less congested paddling environment. Bank fishing is also available at facilities near the dam.
