About This Access Site
Located on the north shore of Lake Cypress Springs near the dam in Franklin County, Walleye Park offers a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The park features a dedicated boat ramp along with additional amenities including picnic tables, a large pavilion available for rent, restrooms with showers, and fire rings. The area accommodates both day-use visitors and campers, with approximately 50 campsites available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

**Directions:** From Mount Vernon, take Texas 37 south to FM 21, turn east for 3.2 miles to FM 2723, then turn south and follow for nearly 3 miles. Continue on FM 3122, then turn south on SE 4220 for approximately 1.5 miles to reach Walleye Park. Lake Cypress Springs is a calm, reservoir-based paddling destination suitable for recreational kayaking and canoeing, making this a good launching point for exploring the lake and Big Cypress Creek system.
