About This Access Site
Wallum Lake offers a concrete boat ramp in Douglas State Forest, providing access to this 200+ acre recreational lake that welcomes both motorized and non-motorized boaters. The ramp is located at 107 Wallum Lake Road in Douglas, Worcester County. To reach it, follow signs for Douglas State Forest and the Wallum Lake entrance; the ramp road branches left at the park entrance fork. Ample trailer parking is available at the facility.

Paddlers and boaters can expect a well-maintained ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats. Note that the ramp is designated for water access only and cannot be used to enter the park after operating hours. The lake itself supports a mix of recreational activities in a scenic state forest setting with nearby woodland trails. For overnight visitors, West Thompson Lake Campground is available within 10 miles and offers reservable sites. Nearby paddling alternatives include the French River system accessible via the Hodges Village Dam launch, which features over 15 miles of maintained trails.
