About This Access Site
Located in Walnut Point State Park near Oakland in Douglas County, the Twin Points Boat Ramp provides convenient public access to Walnut Point Lake, a 52-acre impoundment. The launch features two single-lane boat ramps and is fully accessible for paddlers and boaters of all abilities, including handicap-accessible facilities. Fixed piers and floating docks are available for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats.

The lake's numerous fingerlike coves make it an excellent destination for exploring by paddling. The calm, protected water is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a leisurely paddle. In addition to water recreation, the site supports a healthy fishery including largemouth bass, black crappie, and panfish.
