About This Access Site
Located in Washington, Franklin County, this boat ramp provides day-use access to the Missouri River, one of North America's major waterways. The access point features a boat ramp that points downstream with a rocky bank landing, and a muddy bank landing area is also available. Be prepared for rough access conditions typical of this site. Parking is available, with alternate parking options nearby if the main lot is full.

The Missouri River at this location is a powerful, large-scale waterway with significant flow. Paddlers should be aware that the river averages 121,000+ cubic feet per second of flow with an average velocity of 7.4 feet/second, making it suitable primarily for experienced boaters. The ramp approach has some limitations due to dike structures, so arriving with knowledge of the site layout is helpful. Day use only is permitted at this access point.

This site is part of the Missouri River water trail system managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Canoeists and kayakers should assess their skill level relative to the river's current and size before launching. Contact the Kansas City District of the Corps of Engineers for additional information about conditions or facility details.
