Washington-Union Access

**Location & Launch Details**
Washington Union Access is located in Janesville, Black Hawk County, off Cedar-Wapsi Road (C-57), at the confluence of the Cedar River and West Fork Cedar River. The site features a boat ramp on the west side of the Cedar River, providing access to the northern section of the Cedar River Wildlife Area. This location offers paddlers and boaters an excellent put-in point for exploring both river systems.

**What to Know Before You Go**
As a public access site, Washington Union may have limited facilities—visitors should not assume amenities like restrooms, parking areas, or ADA accessibility are available. The next downstream access point is approximately 4.1 miles away, so plan your paddling distance accordingly. This is a good location for both kayakers and canoeists looking to access the Cedar River system, though conditions and facility availability should be confirmed with Black Hawk County or Iowa DNR before your visit.
