About This Access Site
Washoe Lake State Park offers multiple boat launch facilities for paddlers and boaters on Nevada's largest natural lake. This access point is located on the south end of the lake near New Washoe City and features a paved boat ramp suitable for boats of all sizes, along with dedicated trailer parking. The main day-use area provides amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and easy vehicle access to launch your watercraft.

For those exploring the lake system, additional launch points are available at the North Ramp (located at the end of Douglas Drive) and at Little Washoe Lake. The North Ramp facility is day-use only and also provides parking and restrooms. Note that motorized craft are not recommended at Little Washoe, making it a quieter option for kayakers and canoeists seeking a more peaceful paddling experience.

With its large surface area and multiple access points, Washoe Lake provides good opportunities for recreational boating, paddling, and water sports. Be sure to check current conditions and any specific regulations before launching.
