About This Access Site
Water Well Circle provides boat ramp access to Lake Kemp, a 15,590-acre reservoir on the Wichita River north of Seymour off US 183. This location is one of seven boat ramps around the lake, accessible through toll gates with a $15 per person entrance fee. The lake has a maximum depth of 53 feet and offers opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and general boating across its expansive surface.

**Important considerations for paddlers:** Most ramps at Lake Kemp become non-functional when water levels drop three feet or more below normal elevation. If you're planning a trip during low water conditions, the Moonshine gate ramp is typically the most reliable option. Check current lake levels before your visit to ensure the ramp will be usable. The lake's size makes it suitable for various paddling experiences, from shorter trips near access points to longer expeditions across the reservoir.
