About This Access Site
Waterfront Park (also known as Legion Park) provides public boat access to Big Waverly Lake via a dedicated boat launch facility. The 14.7-acre park is conveniently located just off County Highway 9 in Waverly, Wright County, making it easily accessible for day trips. The launch can accommodate boats up to 12-18 feet, though larger vessels may be possible depending on ramp conditions. There are typically no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required by the park.

In addition to the boat ramp, the park offers amenities including two fishing docks, a swimming dock, and a swimming beach—making it a popular multi-use recreation area. Kayakers and canoeists will appreciate the developed infrastructure, though they should be aware that this is also a popular spot for motorized boating. The park also features tennis and basketball courts if you're looking for additional recreational activities before or after time on the water.
