About This Access Site
Waterside Marina provides boat ramp access to Norris Lake and the Clinch River in Andersonville, Union County, near the Norris Dam area. Located just 7 miles east of I-75 Exit 122 (Norris/Clinton), the facility offers convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The marina features multiple boat slips with full amenities (water, sewer, cable) and offers pontoon and fishing boat rentals for those without their own watercraft.

The Clinch River is a substantial waterway—a major stream (Stream Order 8) with an average flow of 6,831 cubic feet per second and moderate current around 6 feet per second. The river's average gradient of 4.9 feet per mile means paddlers can expect moderate flow conditions, making it suitable for various skill levels depending on water levels. Norris Lake, formed by Norris Dam, provides calmer impoundment waters ideal for leisurely paddling, fishing, and family outings, with scenic coves throughout the region.
