Watson Access

Watson Access provides a boat ramp for launching onto the Nishnabotna River in Atchison County, Missouri. Located approximately 3.5 miles northwest of the town of Watson, the access point can be reached by taking Route BB north and west for 2.5 miles, then continuing west on 160th Street for one additional mile. This access point is primitive with no developed facilities on-site.

The ramp provides entry to both the Nishnabotna and Missouri Rivers, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. The area supports fishing and bird watching opportunities. Primitive camping is available near the river access. Note that the site may have seasonal closures, so paddlers should check ahead for current conditions and any restrictions before planning their trip.
