Watt's Bay (West)

Located in Moraine State Park near Portersville, Watt's Bay offers a well-maintained boat ramp facility on Lake Arthur. The access features a 20-foot wide concrete ramp with boat docks on both sides and ample parking—ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. This is a popular put-in point for paddlers exploring the lake and the broader Susquehanna River Water Trail system.

Lake Arthur provides calm, flatwater paddling conditions suitable for all skill levels. The area supports various watercraft, and nearby marinas offer boat rentals if needed. Two fueling stations are available for powered vessels. Paddlers should note that this location serves both motorized and non-motorized craft, so expect shared water use. For those interested in longer expeditions, Watt's Bay connects to the 53-mile Susquehanna River Water Trail's lower section, managed by Susquehanna National Heritage Area.
