About This Access Site
Wayne B. Stevens Park offers a well-developed boat ramp facility located on Fishing Creek in the Ortega Farms section of southwest Jacksonville. The ramp features 5 launching lanes with floating courtesy docks across two separate areas, making it a convenient option for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The facility is managed by the Jacksonville Department of Parks.

Fishing Creek flows into the Ortega River approximately 2,000 feet downstream from the ramp, providing paddlers with access to both the creek and the broader river system. This location is ideal for recreational boating and fishing, offering easy water access in the Atlantic Coastal Plain area. The park's amenities and multi-lane setup make it suitable for moderate paddling traffic and a variety of watercraft.
