About This Access Site
Webster-South provides access to Webster Reservoir on the South Fork Solomon River near Stockton, Kansas. This boat ramp is part of the Webster State Park system, which is managed by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism. The reservoir offers a controlled water environment ideal for recreational boating, kayaking, and canoeing, with a total capacity of 260,740 acre-feet. Both the Oldtown Area (north shore) and Goose Flat Area (south shore) feature boat ramps and camping facilities for visitors.

The South Fork Solomon River is a large stream system with an average flow of about 105 cubic feet per second and a moderate gradient of 7 feet per mile. Paddlers should expect a river with substantial flow and moderate current in non-reservoir sections. The reservoir itself, located between Woodston and Osborne approximately 8 miles east of Webster Dam, creates calmer water conditions suitable for paddlers of various skill levels. The area is part of an 8,018-acre wildlife management area, providing scenic surroundings and wildlife viewing opportunities alongside recreational access.
