The Weldon access site on the Tugaloo River in Townville provides boat launch facilities for paddlers and boaters accessing Lake Hartwell, one of the most popular Corps of Engineers lakes in the nation. Located in Anderson County near the transition zone between river and impoundment, this ramp offers convenient access to both the scenic Tugaloo River and the expansive 56,000-acre Lake Hartwell. The site is situated near Weldon Island Recreation Area, making it a practical entry point for day trips and longer paddling adventures.

**Before visiting, note that all vehicles must display a daily or annual ParkPass to use the facility.** The park operates seasonally (May 1 – September 9), though the nearby Hattons Ford ramp just outside the Weldon Island Recreation Area remains open year-round if you're planning an off-season visit. Amenities and specific amenities should be confirmed in advance, as conditions may vary seasonally. Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins is available within 10 miles for those planning overnight trips.
